The whole Roman Forum is incredibly interesting, but (like everything in Rome) incredibly busy. Walking to the Temple of Venus is like crossing into a parallel universe. As soon as I stepped over the stone 'templum veneris et romae' the sounds stopped. There were a handful of wanderers in the 30 minutes we spend there. Clear view on the Colloseum too.
Am old temple for the glory of Rome and goddess Venus. This was damaged by a big earthquake in the olden times. One significant ruins to see when you visit the Roman Forum
You can enter inside through the Museo del Foro Romano and get a good view of the Colosseum.
This temple is fascinating. It gives us a glimpse of how beautiful things were before the Christian era began.
A history which remains till now to see is something amazing and thanks to Italy for keeping it in a good shape. An amazing history with amazing stories to read about. It’s good to visit after visiting the Coliseum.
Don’t miss out this! Incredible place, views and the photos are going to be insane ⭐️
You can enter with the same ticket for the coliseum, so once you finished there go directly to the line, don’t waste time trying to see the entrance first or try to line up in the shorter one (the left line) because it’s for groups
Excellent tour guide, a must see the place is beautiful
Impressive even from afar as half of the outer shell is stripped off, allowing the interior to be seen. One can only imagine walking through this area some couple of thousand of years ago.
